Robert P. DeMartinis, CFRE, ePMT
President and
CEO
Fundraising and Nonprofit Management Consultant

Rob DeMartinis has been building a career in resource development, public relations, marketing and communications for 20 years. A highly skilled and Certified Fund Raising Executive, he has served as a senior executive in the nonprofit industry leading two national AAFRC member consulting firms in sales and operations, and managing major fundraising and communications projects for nonprofit organizations.

Over his career Rob has worked in nonprofit fields including healthcare, human services, culture, environment, religion and education raising over $500 million in partnership with clients. Rob’s skills include strategic planning, campaign logistics, board training, public speaking, and proficiency in a wide range of software applications and Internet technology.

Mr. DeMartinis has worked to remain on the leading edge of fundraising through a love of technology. He is one of just 50 people in the world to have earned the designation of ePMT or ePhilanthropy Master Trainer for his experience and expertise in merging traditional nonprofit operations with Internet technology. He put his first fundraising campaign online in 1995 during the infancy of the public use of the World Wide Web. Today he serves as a Trustee of the ePhilanthropy Foundation, an international nonprofit and world leader in providing education on the ethical and efficient use of the Internet for advocacy, outreach and fundraising. He specializes in the domain name field helping clients to acquire and properly leverage memorable web addresses to market brands, promote causes and generate financial support.

Rob's experience and broad expertise resulted in his selection by the New York Times Company as the editor of one of the leading nonprofit industry information resources, the Guide to Nonprofit Organizations at About.com. During his tenure, more than 50,000 visitors a month from around the world read fundraising expertise and nonprofit management information provided by Rob and the firm through licensed original content and web site management. About.com reaches an international audience of more than 35 million people each month making it a top-ten Internet destination. Mr. DeMartinis recently decided not to renew the contract to focus instead on new initiatives of the firm.

Rob has directed and assisted in educational sessions of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the American Association of Fund Raising Counsel (AAFRC), the NCDC and ICSC on topics including how to be an industry consultant, major gift solicitation, campaign logistics, Internet strategy for nonprofits and technology solutions for nonprofit management. He is a member of the faculty for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Nonprofit Institute and an instructor at Villanova University teaching course material on merging traditional nonprofit operations with Internet technologies.

Mr. DeMartinis is an officer on the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in Philadelphia, serving as a spokesperson and representing the fundraising profession in southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and northern Delaware.
